It’s winter break and yes, nearly half the school year has flown by! This is a great time to assess where you are in realizing your educational goals and also begin thinking about summer plans.
My goal is to help build your student’s educational strategy leaving every student empowered about their journey and success! Success is very personal — each family’s definition a reflection of values and personal preferences. I hope you agree, this is a process that needs to be student-led if it is to be sustainable for the long haul. Success is defined by joy, minimizing stress and being a contributing member to communities- becoming an impactful global citizen in a way that leverages each student’s personal and academic strengths.
DEFINE GOALS–
SET A PLAN and
then determine:
IS YOUR STUDENT ON TARGET?
Why or Why Not?
It is never too early to begin taking steps to ensure your student has a long-term strategic educational and college admissions plan fostering a love of learning, building solid time management skills and establishing a directed path towards the undergraduate experience.
Whether you’ve just started following my newsletters and blogs or a long time reader– I welcome you to reach out with your Educational and College Planning questions and BUILD YOUR COLLEGE PLAN.

COLLEGE ADMISSIONS – Finding Your Perfect Fit:
ACADEMIC AND COLLEGE APPLICATION SUCCESS: EXPLORE AND DISCOVER
If you want to minimize the stress associated with both the undergraduate and graduate college application processes (and even your career search), create your Educational and College Admissions Plan as early as 8th grade! Doing so entails carefully selecting classes and extracurricular pursuits along with a plan that emphasizes ongoing hands-on activities to encourage academic and personal exploration, preparing students for success in high school and beyond. When you discover your niche – your interests and learn how to connect and deepen your interest leveraging personal and academic strengths- you are on the right path to realizing your dreams!
Students often tell me they want to become a physician, an engineer, a lawyer– but oddly, don’t really know much (and that’s where I come in) about the vast number- hundreds actually- of potential undergraduate majors. Learning about the types of problems and innovations taking place in these fields can be inspirational.
Having an opportunity to intern, solve problems, take an EdX course or explore in a summer program can help to develop a very specific interest area – your niche! Discovery is sparked within the classroom – but it’s nurtured in hands-on activities- sometimes this takes planning to find that opportunity. I have so many ideas- let’s talk!
While all of this increases chances of college acceptances- the real and more pressing goal of this process is to work towards confidence, independence and discovery to joy and academic success.
FIND YOUR NICHE and YOUR PASSION – ENGAGE IN DISCOVERY!
Don’t follow the crowd nor march through middle and high school without a smile! BE INSPIRED!!
A typical college admissions consultant can provide you with “off-the-rack” answers to your questions about high-school curriculum planning (AP, AICE or IB courses?), financial aid eligibility (and how to complete your FAFSA?), submitting your Common Application and writing your college essays.
Applying three decades of university experience, I will provide expert personalized guidance.
Leveraging my extensive working knowledge of colleges and universities and their undergraduate and graduate curricula and degree requirements across all majors, let’s work together to create your personalized educational and college admissions plan.
Best wishes,
Bonnie
