Most nearly all institutions, your application will be submitted thru the common app.  Individual schools will have supplements to complete and these are also available and submitted thru the common app website.  The  2015-16 application login is available August 1, 2015

Applying for Financial Aid

If you are applying for financial aid, all colleges will require a FAFSA be completed at
Set up your account as soon as possible and then become familiar with what will be required sometime during early Winter 2015.   Parents and students should  complete the 2014 federal income tax as soon as possible as it is essential for incoming freshmen to submit FAFSAs during March in order to be considered for a financial aid award.

Many colleges will also require a CSS Profile.   You’ll use your login at the College Board, also required to register for an send SAT, GMATs, LSAT, GRE scores.

Required Tests and Sending Scores

Nearly all schools accept the ACT in lieu of the SAT1.   For some students, there is a preference. The SAT is a considerably longer exam.  Make sure to take the ACT with Writing Sample.  Some schools require you to send scores of all exams taken. Some schools will take your best combined score across several test taking.
